That gives us plenty of time to leave Aberdeen in the morning and take a scenic route through Royal Deeside, with opportunities to visit some of the area's best-known attractions along the way.
Depending on your interests and how much time you'd like to spend at each stop, your day could include:
Crathes Castle
Start with a visit to the beautiful historic castle and its famous gardens before continuing west through Royal Deeside.
Balmoral Castle
Continue towards the heart of the Cairngorms and the Balmoral Estate, with time to explore the area around the castle.
Crathie Kirk
Located close to Balmoral, Crathie Kirk is a fascinating little church with strong connections to the Royal Family and the surrounding estate.
Then it's time for the main event — Royal Lochnagar Distillery, where you'll enjoy the distillery experience you've booked.
And the day doesn't have to finish there...
Once your distillery visit is complete, we can continue further into Royal Deeside.
Depending on your available time, we could head to Ballater for a wander through the village before continuing towards Braemar, surrounded by some of the spectacular scenery of the Cairngorms.
Alternatively, if you'd prefer a more relaxed afternoon, we can simply enjoy the journey back towards Aberdeen.

Royal Lochnagar offers a selection of visitor experiences, so you book your chosen distillery experience directly with the distillery in advance.
Once your booking is confirmed, simply send us the date, time and details of your experience.
We'll then work out the rest of the day's itinerary around your booking, allowing enough time for the places you'd like to visit and making sure you arrive at Royal Lochnagar in plenty of time.
Please bear in mind that trying to include every attraction listed above may make for a very full day. We'll help you work out a realistic itinerary based on the time of your distillery booking and the places you'd most like to see.
